What is Freight Plan?

Freight Plan is a service for shipping small parcel packages, including ground, next day, second day and LTL services.

Why use Freight Plan?

Freight Plan high shipping volume allows us to generate great saving discounts to be passed along to our members. Depending on the utilize service, we can save our members up to 20% each time Freight Plan services are used.

What guaranteed services does Freight Plan offer?

Freight Plan offers several shipping options to meet your budget and needs. For outbound shipments we offer Express, Priority, Standard and Basic service which are delivered the next, second, third and fifth business day from pickup, respectively. For return shipments, we offer an additional Economy Service, which typically is delivered 4-6 business days from pickup, but is not guaranteed to arrive on a specific day.

What are the restricted and prohibited articles for export?

The following items may be shipped to countries outside the U.S, where service is allowed, on a contractual basis only:
  • Alcoholic Beverages
  • Plants
  • Seeds
  • Tobacco
  • Personal Effects
  • Perishables
  • Dangerous Goods
  • Biological substances, category B and Exempt Human or Animal Specimens

What is the maximum shipping weight?

There is no minimum or maximum weight per package.

Can I arrange for a package pickup?

Freight Plan combine services with UPS provides the option to schedule your office or home pickup. A UPS driver can stop at your location, Monday through Friday, to pick up all your ground, air and international packages.

How do I track my shipment?

You can track your shipment using USPS tracking services which provides information from the time the shipper uploads shipping information to USPS to the time the shipments delivery to the consignee.

Can I get insurance on my shipment?

Yes, insurance protection is available to you. Prices may vary based on the shipment class.

What are convenient ways to track shipments?

Your package can be track using the shipment tracking number or by assign reference number. You can also request delivery confirmation to be sent to via mail.

What are my payment options?

Freight Plan "Discount Club" accepts payment of service via Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express or 30 days invoice. Members 30 days invoice request require the competition of a Freight Plan Credit Application. No services will be provided without an approved payment method.

How is the service priced?

All shipments are individually priced using online shipping tools. The cost of each shipment is calculated based on the information you provide to determine any given distance, weight, dimensions and delivery service type chosen. Freight Plan is not responsible for incorrect information provided to calculate any shipment. International shipments must comply with all international rules and regulations.

Can I ship to Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico or other countries?

Freight Plan can ship to more than 200 foreign countries. Shipping packages to an international destination is similar to a domestic shipment. Each country have their own exceptions and additional information is required for the customs clearance process. Depending on the destination, international shipments usually take between 5-9 business days.

Can we order shipping supplies such as envelops, boxes etc.?

Yes. Freight Plan membership offers ad-value services for packaging supplies.

How do I need to prepare my package?

Freight plan does recommend preparing your packaging as follows:
  • Ship freight in corrugated boxes (avoid reusing boxes), crates or shipping containers.
  • Use a container strong enough to support the weight of contents.
  • Use at least two inches of appropriate cushioning material to protect internal items from each other and the corners, sides, top and bottom of containers. Appropriate cushioning material would include corrugated fiberboard, multiple layers of folded newspaper, Styrofoam sheets, packing blankets, etc.
  • Reinforce edges to protect from bending.
  • Securely seal closures and seams with reinforced tape.
  • Label each piece with telephone numbers and complete address information, including postal code of the shipper and the consignee.

How can I ship a pallet of goods?

Freight Plan offers LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) services. This service is very convenient for oversize shipping loads, crates, trade shows requiring regional and long-haul services.

What are the steps for preparing a freight shipment?

Why use Freight Plan if I can get the same rates direct from the service provider?

Mail delivery services rates are based on demand. Individuals or small businesses mail demand sometimes do not meet the criteria or volume needed for great discounted rates. For example: An independent business owner may have the need to mail documents one or twice a month. This independent business owner wills pay a higher price in comparison to a small business which uses the service at least twice a week. Freight Plan has form a "Discount Club" allowing every member to receive corporate rates without having the pressures of volume.

How does it work?

Freight Plan "Discount Club" is a free membership, which benefit you with better small packages services rates. It's simple and it works! Our "Discount Club" is a cooperative form to meet business common economic goals and receives the same mutual benefits. In these economics times every dollar counts. Great large business can position themselves into better negotiate price scales based on their product demand. However, small business does not have these benefits. Our system combine everyone participation into one "pool" giving everyone great discount prices when shipping or mailing their product.

Do I have a minimum amount of packages to mail?

No. However, this is a group effort. As more participants join and use the "Discount Club" services, the higher the benefit rewards you're able to receive.

How do I joint the "Discount Club" membership?

It's very simple! Just go to www.freightplan.com and look for the link "Free Membership" under the "Discount Club" member's log-in. You will receive via e-mail an account username and password.

Can I cancel at anytime?

You may cancel your membership at any time at no cost. Remember! Your membership is completely FREE!

Can I have multiple accounts?

Yes. You may enroll in multiple accounts. However, we discourage the action for your own benefit. The "Discount Club" does operate like a Co-op. One account will work the same as multiples even if you have more than one location.

What if my package gets damaged during shipping?

We take the utmost care of your packages during shipping, but it is possible that they might be damaged during shipping. It is very important to use sturdy packing materials like double walled cardboard boxes and protective fillers to insure the safety of the package contents. If your package gets damaged during shipping, a claim will be filed directly to the carrier. All claims must be approved and reimbursed to us by the carrier before we can reimburse you. Remember, the final decision on the claim rests with the carrier. Your insurance amount can not be more than the value declared on your invoice.
